Darren Smith is head of the Commercial Property and Company Department at Courtney Smith Solicitors and qualified in 1984 and became a partner in 1987.
Darren’s expertise includes commercial leases and retail development, freehold and leasehold property acquisition and disposals together with acquisition of industrial and residential development sites, advising on planning and enforcement issues, company purchase sales and acquisitions.
Recent experience:
Development of Breckland Retail Park in Thetford including acting for the developer, the granting of leases to major High Street Retailers.
Development of various residential housing and flat schemes in Harrow.
Darren is also involved in litigation for adverse possession in the First-Tier tribunal with and notable victory against Port of London Authority with costs.
Dean has extensive knowledge of residential property with over 10 years of experience in this field. Since qualifying as a solicitor, he has worked for different firms in London before moving on to Courtney Smith Solicitors. He is very excited to have joined us and will be leading a strong and experienced Residential Property Team. He brings a positive, professional and enthusiastic approach to the team.
